I'm constantly tuned to the patterns I see in the world around me. I found this scene at Aral Beach, part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Otter Creek ran parallel to the shore of Lake Michigan and reflected the stormy sky. I was drawn to the echoes of color and texture in the sand and the water and the sky. This vertical version accentuates the abstract composition.
