I often will stake out a location before sunset and then take a series of pictures every few minutes to capture the fleeting changes in the sky over time. Several photographers came and went while I bided my time and enjoyed the view of the Marguette, Michigan, harbor lighthouse across McCartys Cove. As evening progressed, the sky became increasingly cloudy, but just at sunset a beam of light broke through the clouds and illuminated the lantern of the Marquette Harbor lighthouse.
