The stars appear to revolve around Polaris, the North Star, above Lake Michigamme in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This image is blended from 355 individual 30 second exposures and shows the motion of the stars over the course of about 3 hours. The faint green glow on the horizon is a distant display of the Northern Lights.
